Barr-Nunn congratulates Nathan Wittmann-- son of Barr-Nunn Owner Operator, David Wittmann, as he is awarded a $20,000 "Volvo Trucks Great Minds" scholarship.

Granger, IA (July 24, 2009) — Barr-Nunn Transportation, Inc. is proud to congratulate Nathan Wittmann of Columbus City, Iowa on receiving a $20,000 scholarship from Volvo Trucks. Nathan currently attends the University of Iowa. His father, David Wittmann, drives a Volvo VNL770 as an owner operator for Barr-Nunn Transportation.

The one-year scholarships are given to three students entering or already enrolled in college, and whose parent or guardian drives or owns a Volvo truck.

“The Great Minds scholarships are a way for Volvo Trucks to give back to our customers and show how much we appreciate their support,” said Scott Kress, Volvo senior vice president – sales & marketing. “It’s also a great way to reward achievement and hard work by the generation which will succeed us.
