Trucking Company Overview: Interstate Distributor Co.

Let our Experience Work for You The beginning. . . . . "We started simply. In 1933 Bob McLean, our founder, was working multiple irregular jobs, had very little money, and nothing he could count on for his future. He decided that there was one occupation that had promise. It offered stability, a regular income, and opportunities. He became a truck driver. He sold his car and used the money as a down payment on a used 1929 Model A truck chassis. There was no bed or box on the truck so he went to the Port of Tacoma and gathered free wood from a pier that was being torn down and built a flatbed for his truck. We now had our first one ton trucks."
