TRANSPORT AMERICA COMPANY DRIVERS - NEW PAY PACKAGE

Transport America will have a new pay structure that will be phased in over the next 6-12 months. In the first phase, all solo OTR company drivers will receive at least a $0.01/mile increase for all paid miles. This will come into effect on July 31, 2011. There are more phases to come and the details of those phases will be communicated as they come into effect. In addition, we will be evaluating all segments of our business (including team operations, dedicated, regional, and local) as part of this analysis.

TRANSPORT AMERICA OWNER OPERATORS - NEW PAY PACKAGE

All Owner Operators will receive a $0.02/mile increase for all paid miles. In addition, all Owner Operators with a valid HazMat endorsement will receive an additional $0.02/mile on all paid miles. So, many Owner Operators will receive a total of a $0.04/mile increase. This will come into effect on July 3, 2011.

All Owner Operators will see an increase of $0.02 cents per mile starting on July 3rd, 2011. Owner Operators that have a valid Hazmat endorsement will see an additional $0.02 per mile for a total of $0.04 per mile. Owner Operators will now be paid $0.93 per mile or $0.95 per mile. This new pay enhancement will lead to one of the best 1099’s in the industry. TA Owner Operators will continue to benefit from our industry leading fuel discount and surcharge program, excellent maintenance services, exceptional miles, and our typical reimbursements. As a current or future TA Owner Operator, this pay enhancement will surely give your small business an edge over the competition.

Company Over the Road drivers will see a $0.01 per mile increase on all paid miles starting on July 31st, 2011. More work is being done on another driver pay enhancement for January 2012. In the next phase of this pay enhancement, we are focusing on meeting performance standards with the opportunity to have a greater annual increase. This amounts to a better starting rate per mile for new drivers as well as the opportunity to reach upper pay levels faster. As we enhance our pay packages and improve driver W2 and 1099 earnings, Transport America will continue to offer great miles, guaranteed home time, excellent equipment, competitive health benefits, cutting edge technology, and exceptional Fleet Leadership.
