Hornady Transportation located in Monroeville, Alabama is a flatbed carrier operating east of the Rockies. We do not deliver into Canada or New Mexico but we do deliver into New York City on a voluntary system that pays an incentive to any driver for a delivery to New York City. All other dispatch is force dispatch. We offer every weekend home with 24 to 36 hours at home in over 75 percent of our hiring area. Drivers running our Line Haul area are averaging over 2300 miles each week. A first year driver is expected to make over $50,000.00 with our top earner making over $70,000.00. In the areas that we cannot offer you home every weekend, you will get home every 10 to 14 days.

Hornady Transportation continues to upgrade our fleet with new trucks and trailers. Our new trucks are International 9200 series with air-ride suspensions. Qualcomm communications are included in the trucks for your convenience and to help everybody make more money. Our units also, have Prepass with Easypass so scales stops are limited.

We offer a full line of benefits that include Blue Cross Blue Shield Health insurance, Dental, Vision, and Disability. Plus we have a 401-K retirement plan that you can participate in that the company offers some matching funds. Per Diem is offered so that you can realize more income each week by reducing your tax liability. Other benefits are available.

Our Contractors enjoy home time and freight of their choice. Contractor's compensations is 70% of Gross Revenue plus 100% of fuel surcharges. Contractors are paid weekly by direct deposit without holdbacks for paperwork. We do have a limit on how many Contractors we will lease at any time. We do this so that the Contractors on board can be assured of having plenty of freight.

We currently have a Lease Purchase program in place. This is for both current drivers and new drivers to our company if qualified. Call Diane at 800-441-4271 ext 229 to find out about the details of the program.

A new program for Contractors for 2006 will pay an additional 4% to any Contractor with weekly-adjusted revenue less fuel and accessorial charges of $2,400.00. The incentive will be paid on the total weekly-adjusted revenue less fuel and accessorial charges every week. The incentive is our way of saying "Thank You for a job Well Done".
